What do we mean by Change Management?

 

Change Management is a discipline that focuses on managing the impact of change to people by providing mechanisms to maximize adoption and commitment to the change.   Specifically it provides a series of strategic and tactical activities designed to:

 

• Create a climate of change competence by guiding leaders in effectively leading and supporting positive change within their organization
   

• Inform and prepare staff on how to deal with the new changes and facilitate the letting go of ingrained practices
   

• Develop the required knowledge and ability to implement and support the change
   

• Establish governance to sustain the changes

Who is the ACMP Greater Victoria Chapter?

 

The ACMP Greater Victoria Chapter provides members within Victoria and Vancouver Island, Canada with the opportunity to learn, collaborate and grow as change professionals, through innovative and relevant chapter offerings. The ACMP holds events every month except over the summer.  These events, which are a mixture of live presentations, group work, panel discussions, webinars etc., are geared to provide opportunities for members to learn different approaches and tools being applied to transformational projects across the world.
